The observatories at Kiripotib
Our concept: Social stargazing!
We have constructed the observation platforms in such a way that you can stargaze undisturbed while still keeping contact with your fellow astronomers.
The cosy Astro-villa is close by to provide you with a common room, kitchen, library and toilet.
At Kiripotib the following facilities are at your disposal:
1 observatory with roll-off roof and 7 wind protected observation platforms (4x4m) with 230V power outlets (Euro-plugs) and a dampened, isolated steel-pipe pillar.
The 3x3m main observatory with roll-off roof houses a MK100 mounting 4m above ground. The observation platforms are equipped with these mounts: GP-D2, GP-DX, New Atlux, TAK EM-200, Fornax 51, ALT 6ADN. One platform without a pillar is reserved for the Dobsonian telescope. A Berlebach tripod Uni 18 with GP adapter is also available.
